Chronic Fatigue Syndrom (CFS)

“The Seven Steps”: proven methods from the CFS therapy program of Prof. Dr. Stark

People who have the chronic fatigue syndrome often find it challenging to get their condition recognized as an actual disease. In my practice, every day, I hear again and again that their complaints are not taken seriously in the professional environment and even not by their family or friends. These prejudices or false diagnosis change only slowly. Fortunately, based on the latest research, there are good results in working with my patients.
I have developed this self-help, especially for people with difficulty or no treatment access.

Of course, this self-help program can not be a substitute for medical treatment. If you are already under medical treatment, please discuss with your doctor how these offers can be integrated into your treatment plan.

I look forward to accompanying you on this path.
Yours, Prof. Dr. Michael Stark

Frequently asked questions about the “Seven Steps”

Does the program only consist of the weekly emails?2023-01-29T22:06:01+01:00

The actual therapy program is the “Seven Steps.” Each step or “stage” involves essential content in the process. You should integrate this information and instructions into your everyday life. It’s not that easy, so the emails are the support and reminder to get the process going. They also contain additional information not listed individually in the “Seven Steps.”

How is the “Seven Steps” different from the “Gupta Program”?2023-01-29T22:18:32+01:00

My CFS program is firmly based on the scientific psychoneuroimmunological principles of the current research on chronic fatigue syndrome. The self-help program is based on cognitive behavioral therapy and builds on scientifically proven methods. Furthermore, the focus is placed on teaching models and tasks to adopt a benevolent attitude towards oneself and sharpen the understanding of one’s reactions. Body-oriented exercises are also instructed, which should help you regulate yourself, relax, and promote activity. As already mentioned, the program takes seven steps, which build on each other and are ultimately intended to give you a tool to stabilize yourself in the long term and alleviate your symptoms. In addition to the program, you will receive weekly emails – a total of 25 -which should serve as a little reminder. These contain various tasks and exercises and other content-related information, e.g., dealing with nutrition, which should support you in your everyday life. The tasks relate to mental techniques or specific “homework” that would be useful for stabilization. Other programs available on the internet and my self-help program overlap in mindfulness exercises and relaxation aspects; some of my patients used it in addition.

Are there time limits for the “Seven Steps”?2023-01-29T22:22:03+01:00

There are no time limits for the “Seven Steps.” You can do everything at your own pace. No one pressures or controls you. You can start anytime and take breaks as often and as long as it fits for you.

Can I repeat the exercises?2023-01-29T22:24:45+01:00

You can recall and repeat the exercises as many times as you want. There is no restriction. Often it is very useful and advisable to repeat one or the other exercise until it works.

What exactly happens after purchasing the “Seven Steps”?2023-01-29T22:30:09+01:00

You have immediate access to all the “Seven Steps” content after receipt of payment. If you pay via PayPal, this is very quick (in minutes), with the other payment methods (direct debit, invoice, etc.) naturally slower. You will receive your password by email, which you can use to log in to the Prof. Stark self-help website or change it to your own password. After logging in, you can start from your unique starting area whenever you want.

Can I use the “Seven Steps” without an internet connection?2023-01-29T21:56:51+01:00

You can download almost all the documents you need for the essential exercises onto your computer. And if you want, you can also print it out. For some elements, we even recommend it. Of course, you must first log in to the Prof. Stark self-help website. So it doesn’t work entirely without the Internet.
