CFS Diagnostic Interview according to the Canadian Consensus Criteria
Please note: Myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS) usually has an acute start. However, it can also start gradually. A preliminary diagnosis can be made in the early stages. Generally, symptoms are collective and often characteristic of the respective patient. The manifestations of the disease may vary and change over time.
It is always essential to compare the manifestations of the disease with the condition before the onset of the collapse. The symptoms are typical for a massive regulatory disorder of the autonomic nervous system, with the over-emphasis of the sympathetic nervous system and the under-emphasis of the parasympathetic nervous system. This results in the dysfunction of the complex inner body information and the regulatory system.
